More than 30 years in the Russian market and more than 100 years in the world
In today's world almost any businesses are associated with foreign partners. Today it is impossible to imagine a successful company that operates only in one region. Many companies wan a client in the local market, expand their business outside local region.
As companies develop, they face to a global competition and tax and legal requirements of other countries. You may soon need to report in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, or you may need to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley act, or you may be looking at a listing
MOORE GLOBAL NETWORK
From the first day of operation in the CIS, it has been a fundamental principle of our firm to provide the same high standard of personalised service as in the rest of the world. To ensure this Moore Stephens tradition is maintained in Russia, we combine the local experience of our Russian staff with the extensive international resources of the Moore Stephens association. The member firms of Moore Stephens International, which are economically independent entities, share the same standards and philosophy. Within the association, personnel are exchanged as the need may be, and any audit staff member may take part in providing services to clients of other members. Working in this way we have built true international co-operation with other members of the network making membership of it a real strength. Since the first Moore Stephens office opened a century ago, Moore Stephens International has grown to be one of the largest international accounting and consulting groups in the world with annual global fee income of over US $3.9 billion. Today, more than 30 000 people work for the independent and correspondent firms of Moore Stephens in 112 countries around the globe. Based in over 609 locations, the network is organised into seven regions – North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Australasia, Middle East, Latin America and Africa. According to International Accounting Bulletin, in 2018 Moore Stephens International Ltd ranked the 11th in the world based on size of annual turnover but size does not tell the whole story. For us what is more important is the quality of the service we provide.
Global statistics (2018)
A truly international firm with an unmatched pedigree, Moore Stephens has the expertise and experience to meet the needs of even the most demanding clients. People are at the heart of everything we do. As such, we always aim to provide our services not only in a professional and personal manner. Headquarter of the network is located in London.
MOORE in Russia
Moore Stephens first started to provide services in what is now the CIS in 1989 when our London member firm assisted Sovcomflot with its restructuring programme. In 1991 we became the first firm to carry out the audit of a Russian enterprise to ISAs. By 1995 our client portfolio included a significant number of companies across the region and we decided to open offices in key centres. Ever since, we have been one of the leading audit and consulting firms in the CIS.
We are now comprised of a group of three offices across Russia under common management. The three offices have a dedicated co-ordinating desk in London which is also used to service clients’ cross-border requirements and ensure that our clients in the CIS have a direct link in this key financial centre.
Our clients range from individual entrepreneurs with less than US$ 300,000 of turnover to quoted companies with market capitalisations of over US$ 1 billion. Whilst it is impossible to say what is a typical Moore Stephens client in the CIS, it is true to say many of our clients, as with Moore Stephens offices around the globe, are SMEs and that amongst them, many are owner-managed businesses. We also have extensive experience of working with state-owned enterprises. The industries in which clients are involved range from ports to women’s lingerie and investment banks to chicken farms although there are a number of industries in which we consider ourselves to have particular expertise. These include transport and shipping, banking and finance, mining, natural resources and energy, IT, telecommunications and media, real estate, agri-business, public sector, insurance and retail and wholesale.
The principals who will lead your assignment have in depth experience of audit to International Standards and having been performing these services for many years in a Russian context. Around 30% of Moore Stephens’s staff based in Russia holds international qualifications (ACCA, CPA) or a Russian auditing certificate. This means that our ratio of qualified staff to unqualified staff is amongst the highest in the country – a fact we believe reflects the emphasis we place on staff and staff training. We guarantee that at least three members of the audit team involved in your project will be fully qualified.
